All Multiplayer Battlefield 6 Modes We Get on the Release Date

The Campaign Is Back, Along With Old and New Multiplayer Battlefield 6 Modes

Though we hype the comeback of single-player campaign in the upcoming Battlefield 6, we can’t miss the elephant in the room – multiplayer modes. It is great that Battlefield isn’t skimping on the solo experience with the campaign set in 2027 and following a fractured NATO battling Pax Armata across urban, coastal, and desert maps. But we expect a gritty and serious tone in multiplayer Battlefield 6 modes. Yes, we’ve received many multiplayer gameplay clips from EA’s closed and open beta events, but still want to elaborate more on the upcoming modes in BF6. That is why the BandurArt team decided to review all Battlefield 6 modes we are going to get on the release date – October 10, 2025.

Upcoming Multiplayer Battlefield 6 Modes

It is good to know that Battlefield 6 will deliver flexible and varied multiplayer modes. Veterans can experience the favorite chaos of 64-player battles while lone wolves can thrive in close-quarters modes.

New players can join the carnage and hope for the best, or get the Battlefield 6 boost before the release to come prepared. The beta has revealed only 4 modes, but the full game will launch with 8 modes. EA and Battlefield Studios (Dice and support teams) confirmed this information about Battlefield 6 modes, so you need to get ready beforehand.

Here comes the full rundown of all officially confirmed and partially revealed Battlefield 6 modes.

Conquest – The Most Popular Pick Among Battlefield 6 Modes

The essence of Battlefield is Conquest. It is a massive 64-player mode with two teams of 32 players battling to dominate for the key points. Tanks go over rubble, jets fly over, and snipers shoot people through a broken roof. Each map has six flags (from A to F). The more flags you have, the fewer tickets the opponent has. A game is terminated when the tickets of a team go to zero.

Battlefield 6 Modes

Conquest feels chaotic but fun. You begin at the base of your team or the flags that you have captured, and you can use vehicles like tanks, helicopters, and jeeps based on the map. It is all about teamwork- coordinated revives, vehicle repairs, and goals are achieved.

Breakthrough Mode In BF6 – Push or Be Pushed

Breakthrough is like a hardcore variant of Conquest. In this 48-player mode of Battlefield 6, the teams are separated into Attackers and Defenders. Each team has a maximum of 24 players. Attackers have to seize sectors sequentially, with two control points per sector. And Defenders attempt to hold the line or reclaim lost positions. There are a few lives (tickets) of the attackers. Each death or lost sector steals a ticket. The game is over when the Attackers take control of all the sectors or when Defenders run out of the Attackers’ tickets.

Breakthrough maps are designed to play on large, cinematic battles. Think of Attackers going across a city that has been destroyed and blowing walls down to gain a capture point, and the Defenders firing at them in fortified areas. Since the mode is goal-oriented, teams who prefer strategy to pure gunfights like it.

Rush – Just Plant, Defuse, Repeat

Rush is still among the fastest Battlefield 6 modes. This mode consists of 24 players divided into 12 Attackers and 12 Defenders. In each sector, attackers are required to install two Military Communication systems (M-Coms) with bombs. They are defended by defusing the bombs. In case both M-COMs are destroyed, the fight goes to the following sector. In case the Attackers lose, all their players are unable to plant bombs; the Defenders win.

The Rush mode does not have as many players as it did in Battlefield 3, but it is still exciting in Battlefield 6. The attackers leap in the air, either when they are being fired on or when there is smoke, to drop bombs. Helicopters and jeeps assist in movement, although the primary activity is fighting by foot soldiers. An Empire State City beta match was an anarchy, with rooftop and alleyway fights. Rush is ideal with players who prefer clear objectives and fast play.

Team Deathmatch – Pure, Unfiltered Carnage for Vets

Team Deathmatch (TDM) is a 32-player game mode divided into two teams. All players have to achieve a kill limit, which is usually 100. No goals or flags, only guns talking. The maps are smaller parts of larger maps. These map zones are designed to fight at close quarters. They resemble the alleyways of the Siege of Cairo or the rooftops of the Empire State.

TDM is considered one of the simplest Battlefield 6 modes to try, especially if you are a newcomer. The various classes are effective. Assault players run with assault guns, and Recon players shoot enemies at a distance while Support players hold the enemies at bay with light machine guns. TM delivers rapid and enjoyable games, being perfect as a quick warming-up or a post-Conquest game.

Squad Deathmatch – Would You Kindly Squad Up or Shut Up?

Squad Deathmatch is simply a more intense version of TDM. There is a 16-player match, where four teams of four players battle each other to score the most kills. Similar to TDM, there are smaller battlefields, with combats happening at close range.

The key is teamwork. Solo play will cost you your life soon, but a small group with diverse roles, such as a support to ammunition and an engineer to protect the vehicles, will win. It feels less aggressive than Conquest but is more aggressive than TDM. A good pick for those Battlefield 6 players who like playing in small teams.

Domination – Hold the Line At Any Cost

Domination is a smaller variant of Conquest that centers around three capture points in a 24-player arena. Two groups of 12 attempt to earn as many points as possible as time goes by. The mode offers bigger maps. There is little use of vehicles and infantry skills. While the squad teamwork is highly valued.

During the beta sessions, the snipers had a great location on Domination on Liberation Peak since the lines of sight are clear and the cover is destructible. Support players and rockets by engineers to defend the points can use LMGs, while the assault players advance. It is a great game-changer if you have tired of more intense and complex Battlefield 6 modes. Domination is a good compromise – it is not as overpowering as Conquest but more tactical than TDM.

King of the Hill – One Point, All the Glory across Different Battlefield 6 Modes

King of the Hill (KOTH) is all about the control. Two teams of 12 fight to defend a point. You receive points on each second that the point belongs to you. The point shifts frequently. Similar to Domination, KOTH supports smaller maps and is about foot soldiers. Cars are not the center of attention. The KOTH was extremely fierce in the beta game on the Empire State Building map – squads battled on a rooftop position as grenades dropped all around them.

KOTH is a goal-oriented mode where all players should know their roles. You may be a hero who is saving the point against the waves of the enemies or a villain who is creeping in and stealing it. Destructible maps allow you to create new routes to the goal.

Escalation – The New, Shiny Mode for 32 Players

Battlefield 6 introduced a new mode called Escalation. We still do not know much about Escalation compared to other Battlefield 6 modes. So far, we are aware of this mode featuring 32 players divided into two teams. The map is going to change or “escalate” in phases, making teams constantly change their approach at every new phase. It is similar to the game Breakthrough, except that the goals keep varying, and the map is also fighting you. We expect the Escalation mode to be a chaotic and climactic battle that will challenge teams to the max.

We also humbly hope that Escalation is going to become one of the most popular Battlefield 6 modes, especially for new players. If you want to check the tips for beginner players, do not forget to watch the detailed video guide.

Battlefield Portal – One More Mode You Can’t Skip

Battlefield Portal comes back, now better and more powerful. This sandbox mode will allow you to create your own experiences through editing maps or making new ones. Do you feel like a 64-player TDM with one-shot weapons? Do it. Or do you feel like a Rush game with knives only? The Portal can do that. You can even create the modes from other games, like MW3 sniper-only playgrounds, with the chance to drive battle machines of any kind.

EA enhanced the creative map toolkit with new scripting choices and an easier interface, and it became an alternative to Forge in Halo Infinite. Portal will support all 9 maps at launch and have full progression just like other Battlefield 6 modes.

What Do We Get on Battlefield Release Date?

8 confirmed multiplayer modes and a single-player campaign – check. 9 maps, including a remake of Battlefield 3 Operation Firestorm – check. But what else can to expect with the full game’s release on October 10, 2025? According to Reddit, each of the 9 maps will have the so-called “Combat Zones”, perfect for different modes in BF6. After the launch, EA promises more maps and weapons. Also, we expect the post-launch release of the teased Battle Royale mode.

Conclusion

Battlefield 6 comes back louder than we’ve expected.
